Haynes is one smiley little lad. He is very chill, and Lane is for sure his favorite person. He watches her craziness all day long, and loves it. On Monday we have his 4 month appointment, so I have no idea where he stacks up with other babies. I think he's pretty thin and somewhat tall, but not super tall like his sister. He can sit up by himself for a very short amount of time, but I think he'll be 5 months before he can really sit up. I know the good Lord made me an exclusive pumper for a reason. Lane's first tooth arrived at 3 months, and Haynes is following suit with his first tooth breaking through on October 27th. He is SO drooly! I think we go through multiple wardrobe changes a day just because of the drool. That's even wearing a bib a lot of the time. Overall, I am so in love with the latest addition to our family, you are the perfect fit Haynes!
In family news, we closed on our house and have moved into the in laws second story. I am very thankful we had a place to go since we had not decided whether to build or buy. I do have an amazing God story that's come about from this whole housing situation.
The past two years I have led the local mothers of preschoolers group for my church, this year I stepped back knowing things would be busier with Haynes. We've been attending after Lane's swim class on Thursday mornings. A couple weeks back I wasn't really feeling like going, with the move and everything being our priority, I did get it together though and managed to go. We had assigned seats that day and I sat at a table with some friends and some women who were more acquaintances. I told the women how we were moving, but hadn't found a house yet, but we were going to see one that we really think would work on Sunday. So I was excited about the potential. Well...the next morning I received a friend request from one of the women who was an acquaintance, and then a message from her. She informed me that her husband had been let go that morning, and she knew they would be leaving town and selling their home. She wanted to know if I wanted to come check it out. I did already know that she lived in one of my two favorite neighborhoods in town, so I asked about the price (first things first), the price was a little high, but she said that if we left out the realtor bit, they would make it in our price range. So, I said we'd love to see the house, and how about we come see it right before we go see this other house that I was looking forward to seeing (can we just say it was AMAZING that we had the opportunity to look at two homes that hadn't hit the market yet, and were realtor free). So, long story short...we saw both homes on a Sunday afternoon, said we would take the MOPS momma's home on Monday afternoon. We are now under contract and closing on November 24th! I'm mean...seriously, so amazing! Another crazy bit was, we had already drafted a home we were planning to build in this neighborhood, and other than a few minor changes, IT'S THE SAME HOUSE!! I mean, so crazy! The other unbelievable thing that just screams US, was this house comes with a 30ft. deeded boat slip and dry storage there in the neighborhood, and they are throwing in their golf cart too. When I think back now I am just blown away how everything has fallen into place. Even the interest rate rise being delayed by the feds has made everything incredible. So, a BIG THANK YOU to the MAN UPSTAIRS, he continues to amaze me daily. I can't wait to show you guys the new house! I'm sure I'll have some before and after pics on this blog :)
Lastly, Happy Halloween Everyone! We are looking forward to taking our little Indian Princess trick or treating in the neighborhood tonight. Haynes will just be strapped to Luke, so I was slack and didn't even try to do something for him #sorrysecondchild . Lane was an American Indian Princess last year, so I think it's pretty funny she's an India Indian Princess this year, but Aunt Jenna and Uncle Prem brought back a beautiful outfit from India for Lane, so what better way to wear it and show it off! Thank you Shetty family!
I've got all of the pictures saved for each blog, but like I said before, you'll have to wait a bit longer to see them. I'm pretty sure you're all my Facebook friends anyway, so you can see Haynes and Lane there, but I will get them up on here too before long.
