So, I'll just stop lying to you telling you I'm going to post at certain times. It will happen when it happens I guess. I feel like we've just had the craziest past couple of weeks, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. We had my family in town for my sister Katie's baby shower, then travelled to Augusta for another shower celebration. Haynes and Lane have gotten a lot of quality time in with their cousins, which I love.
Our house is under contract, with a scheduled closing date of October 14th. Yep, that's right around the corner and until yesterday afternoon we had not packed one thing. Thanks to Luke getting after it, we were able to tackle the third story. We are going to just work our way down from the top, sending loads with Luke to drop off at a storage unit before work. So, we haven't found anything we love (that other house we loved with all of the contingencies -smoke, price, etc. fell through), and basically we've decided to build , but, just as I feel like we are about to really push go, a potential pops up. So, we are going to look at a house not on the market yet this Saturday, and I'm hoping that it works for us. If this one doesn't do it, we are going to purchase the lot and move onward with the build. Prayers please for road ahead!!
A quick update on Lane, she's still rocking the big sister roll, and "loves" on her brother almost too much. He's already started fighting back with impressive hair grabs though. Her biggest thing going on is her swimming. She was asked to participate in a one week everyday lesson at the aquatic center while they worked on some new training and curriculum from a lady out of Seattle. It was pretty cool to see her in the water with three people and a go pro videoing the lessons. I'm going to try and get hold of the footage. By the end of the week I am proud to say that she can swim!!! She puts her head down in the water and takes three strokes, then rolls on her back for backstroke to breath, then flips back over to keep swimming freestyle. It's called swim roll swim, and she's got it!! It really is amazing. Next up is learning her strokes. I'm excited for that since I killed breaststroke back in the day 😉.
Haynes is more lively every day. He's become quite the chatter box cooing up a storm, and laughing all the time. He's such a sweet smiley boy. He's also rocking my sleep world too. He wants to be down for the night at 8pm, and promises to sleep till 6:30 or 7 if you make that happen. Other big milestones are rolling from belly to back on September 18th, and back to belly on September 22nd. He is trying so hard or sit up, and wants to be upright as much as possible. Feet have become Haynes new chew toy and obsession at the moment. It's fun to watch as his personality already emerging. Coming up we have the move, the annual barn dance, Luke's running his first 1/2 marathon , fall, and Halloween!!! Yikes, I have a feeling the time will fly by #babiesdontkeep
So, here's the photo update: (Cancel this photo update too! I'll just post these photos with month two photos, on a photo only blog).
