You had your first golden birthday yesterday! 11 months old on the 11th. I am seriously blown away that you are 11 months old. I sent out your Evite birthday invitation to family, and your best buds today. I am going to try and make a trial run with the cake some time next week hopefully. The weather has been amazing here in Savannah, so we have been lucky to continue many days playing outside. Your uncle Rhodes flew in just to meet you before you turned one. Uncle Rhodes is not a blood uncle, but he lived with your mom for 3 years in college, and then 2 after college, so he is basically related.
In other AMAZING NEWS!! The AUBURN TIGERS have made it into the National Championship Game! We are SO SHOCKED, but SO EXCITED! If your mom and dad come across some reasonably priced tickets...you might be taking a trip to sunny California for the Rose Bowl. I think you might be a good luck charm for Auburn. Whenever we say Touchdown Auburn, you throw both hands in the air with excitement. A friend joked it was good that you were born this year, since you might never have learned that with the way last season went.
To say you have some personality is an understatement. You are so funny, and show everyone exactly what you are thinking...even if it's not the best. You are always overflowing with sweet smiles.
You met Santa for the first time, and were not so sure about it. I asked Santa to bait you with a candy cane, and that went over pretty well. I am not sure why anybody would pay to get a picture with Santa at our mall when Bass Pro gives you a free one (they even gave me two free ones).
This month we are taking down the barriers. We have removed everything from the fireplace step (minus the fireplace cover), and you occasionally wander over and threaten to crawl up, but look over at me and get the mean "no" face, so you leave it alone. We also let the blinds back down in the kitchen that were previously under attack. We left the middle blind pulled up a bit, just so you could have a spot to check things out easily. Just this week we have removed the front door baby gate that protected our shoes and anything we didn't want you to have since our downstairs is so open. You LOVE to try and eat your shoes, so we are working on that. You can say the word shoes and try to put all of the shoes on your feet. I think we have one smart little lady.
It is going to be a busy next couple of weeks for the Dorman family. We head to the farm this weekend for Luke to hunt, celebrate Christmas next weekend with the Dorman clan, and head to Augusta Christmas week for a whole week with Mom's family.
It is amazing how defined your schedule is these days. You wake up every day between six and seven, but we let you play in your crib until seven no matter what. At nine you go down for your first nap of the day that can last anywhere from thirty minutes to two hours. At two you go down for your second nap and seven you hit the bed.
I have now decided you are a horrible eater. You will put anything in your mouth, but rarely swallow anything. You just suck the juices out of fruit, veggies, even meat, and then spit it out. Very strange chicka! So basically you believe in a liquid diet and juicing! We have been using Enfagrow formula and mixing it with whole milk. I think we'll continue to use the Enfagrow to 18 months mixed with whole milk.
So...I just wanted to say one more time...YOU ARE AMAZING, SMART, FUNNY, HAPPY, AWESOME, little baby Lane. I won't be able to call you a baby much longer :(.

| You love to look over the edge and be miss independent. You never want to hold our hands |
 |
| You love getting into everything! You climb in and out of your wagon and pans. You also love to hid stuff in bins, lift lids, etc. It's amazing to see your wheels always turning. |
